Description Prime Business

The prime focus of the company is the provision of NATO Codification services, thereby ensuring the accuracy and integrity of client data used to make daily decisions in the acquisition and purchasing of operational spares and assets. The emphasis is on achieving the significant productivity benefits that can accrue from the management of client inventory and asset data specific to its spare parts and equipment holdings. Hence the provision of NATO Codification to the ADF which fully identifies an item for inventory, purchasing and stock holding purposes. Benefits Benefits may be measured in terms of a Return of Investment (ROI) of up to 15% of annual inventory cost which continue to accrue from year to year-long after the initial data is encoded or upgraded. Other benefits of NATO Codification services include an enhanced inter-operability capability with allied forces and reverse engineering potential should regular supply lines be severed. Accurate asset visibility is also an enabler for forward maintenance planning and optimising inventory support levels. Client Roll The company has recently completed its 5th contract spanning some 15 years with the ADF providing a team of codifiers to assist the National Codification Bureau (NCB) with its NATO Data Codification requirements using MC Catalogue. Epica has now been successful in gaining a contract under the DSS/ CASG model to enable the continuation of its service to the NCB. The previous contract was completed under the Major Service Provider (MSP) model. Epica’s client roll includes various Australian Defence Bureaus, System Program Offices (SPO’s), Units as well as the broader Defence Primes e.g. ASC and BAE. The Team Epica draws on the experience and expertise of a support team of highly disciplined and experienced practitioners to provide a unique range of services focused on the provision of NATO Codification. Hence Epica is a Defence Support Services (DSS) panellist for the Codification Services category. This experience base is accompanied by the provision of a number of associated consultants who have proven dedicated skills in various facets of Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) services, whether it be: ● Technical Spares Assessment, or ● Project Management and detailed knowledge of the various software packages in use within the ADF. Recognition Epica Solution has been recognised for its contribution to the Australian Defence Organisation by a Letter of Recognised Supply.
